I've worn glasses for as long as I can remember- I just can't see long distance without them. But as I'm getting older,my prescription is changing year on year, and now I can't see short distance as well as long distance. Now I have to zoom in on things on my screen- I'm gutted!

What do you think when you hear the word OPERATIONS? It really is as simple as it is everything that isn't visible at the front. It is the cogs that make your business go around. Does that strike a chord with you or do you think of something else when you hear that word?

My office is quite literally in a bag.

I have everything I need in one bag and can work from anywhere I want. Obviously, there are certain things that are more comfortable when I am at my desk, but it really doesn't stop me from being anywhere.

I had a lovely chat with one of the grandparents at football yesterday who told me that even though he still works part-time , he used to have a full office at home, and they've just downsized and removed this room completely. It hasn't made the slightest bit of difference to him, even though (in his own words), he's a little bit of a dinosaur with some technology. I think this is bloody brilliant....!

How often do you review your Operations Strategy and plan? I've spent some time going over mine today, to refine, adjust, give myself options and timelines. A plan is only ever a plan, and will always need adjusting depending on the reality of what is going on in your business at the time- it is important to point it in a different direction if that is what is needed.

Last week I was at an event where we were split into groups for an exercise, and I nominated myself as the person to write down all the suggestions we made. After 5 mins my hand was killing me and I realised that I hardly ever write anything longer than a couple of sentences any more. When was the last time you wrote something down without typing it?

Ways to encourage young people around you (family or team members) to save into their pensions:

⏳Remind them that they are looking after and paying their future selves
⏰The earlier they start the easier it will be
🦵🏼And harshly that nobody looks out for you, except you. Don't kick that problem into the future, it will only grow and get more agressive as you approach it!!
