HampsonThompson Ltd are a small friendly building surveying consultancy specialising in all aspects of problem area surveying, defect diagnosis and specification. We have over 30 years combined experience in the property maintenance, repair and refurbishment market and all our building surveyors are fully qualified and are members of the Chartered Institute of Building. Our surveyors also have ext

ensive experience in the maintenance and repair of heritage buildings including those with grade II, II*, I listed status and scheduled ancient monuments. We offer a range of bespoke specialist surveys to meet the client’s individual needs, where close up inspection of difficult to reach areas is required. This may be to ascertain the condition of a specific building element or multiple elements and may be carried out on such grounds as health and safety requirements, backlog maintenance, defect diagnosis, or in order to plan for future building maintenance requirements. Specific areas of a building which may benefit from a specialist survey include high ceilings, roof voids, ceiling voids, floor voids, basements, balconies, roofs and roof detailing, chimneys, masonry, cladding, windows, fascias, soffits and rainwater goods, etc. We are also able to undertake a full range of condition, maintenance, and defect investigation surveys using both intrusive and non-intrusive techniques as required. Here at HampsonThompson, we always work to the highest health and safety standards and provide risk assessments and method statements for all work we undertake. Please find below a sample of our typical costs and services:

Stage 1: Carry out full measured survey of your property, prepare CAD plans as existing and design proposal options as necessary. From £550.00

Stage 2: Progress the drawings on the agreed layout and submit a planning application on your behalf including any amendments required by the Planning Authority. From £330.00

Stage 3: Upon on receiving Planning Consent, prepare building regulation drawings and submit for approval. From £275.00

(All costs exclude Planning and Building Regulation Application fees and any Structural Engineer’s fees).
