Sometimes the best tools aren't the most modern.

Recently I refurbished an 150 year old jack plane (Stanley No5 equivalent) and it still gives ones of the nicest finishes you can get.

A couple of recent pieces off the workbench.

Three part shako plate, electroformed in copper and gilded for the plate and wreath and with a silver electroformed centre on a black velvet pad.

The cloak clasp (not electroformed) was die stamped in gilding metal (brass) with fabricated heavy brass chain and finished with a matt and burnished heavy gold plating.

Final set  of  shoulder-belts with buckles and  pickers, from an order  of 20  to  go out to  the Queen's  Own Yeomanry....
