We were incredibly humbled to present a cheque to local charity Maggie's Centres (Yorkshire) following our latest fundraising challenge.
In July, our team took on the demanding ‘Tour de Crossroads’ cycle challenge, covering 195-miles across Yorkshire. Starting in Boroughbridge, the route took the team via Crossroads Hull, Scunthorpe, and Rotherham before finishing back at our headoffice in Birstall 3 days later - it proved to be one of the toughest challenges the team has undertaken to date.
But thanks to the outstanding generosity of our customers, suppliers, colleagues, family, and friends, we raised an incredible £8,470. Crossroads then matched this amount, bringing the total raised to a fantastic £16,940.
We were delighted to welcome Ella from Maggie’s Centre to receive the donation. Maggie’s provides invaluable emotional, practical, and psychological support to anyone affected by cancer. Their expert team offers one-to-one counselling, advice, and support groups, all within a warm and welcoming environment designed to help people navigate the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
Justin Rushton, Operations Director, said: “Maggie’s Yorkshire is a truly remarkable charity. We hope the funds raised will help make a real difference to local people facing one of life's most difficult experiences, providing support and comfort when it is needed most. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our fundraising efforts. Without your generosity, this achievement would not have been possible.”
