Celebrating Lee's one year anniversary at DP Sign & Display.

The last 12 months have flown by at DP Sign and Display, Lee has brought something pretty special back to the building with his work ethic and leadership.

David Brisk, Sales Director at DP Sign & Display said, "He managed not just 1 but 3 new pieces of kit being installed, redefined the culture of the place, led from the front, I could go on all day about the the positive impact he's had. I'm just super thankful he chose us, he's become an absolute rock of the business as well as just the nicest guy you could wish to meet."

DP Sign & Display supporting Candlelighters - To acknowledge their fantastic milestone of 50 years bringing light and hope to families touched by childhood cancer in Yorkshire we wanted to make a bold gesture.

We already proudly support the charity by supplying their event signage free of charge, but for this milestone we chose to use our prime position in Kirkstall to further raise awareness. We have added their branding to our building and it has already had us receiving calls to find out more about the charity.

Last year we made a major investment in our production capabilities with the addition of the JWEI JCUT Digital Cutting System.

This high‑end, industrial digital cutting solution has genuinely raised the bar for what we can deliver.

It glides through aluminium composite (often known as Dibond) with ease, polishes acrylic to a finish so clean it looks like glass, and has completely upped our game in cardboard engineering — opening up new possibilities for point of sale, retail activations and event graphics.

A contact of ours got in touch, they were looking to make a new unit pop as their client's business entered an exciting new chapter.

A brand direction handled superbly by Katie at Boldism needed a high end and vibrant graphic solution, and we were proud to deliver.

The main scope was to create a window front that shouted from the rooftops that this place meant business! Through testing a variety of vinyls to make sure we could get the colour just right, we passed off the samples and got to work, making sure that all of the graphics were finished with a 5-7 year UV laminate to ensure that the graphics looked as vibrant for years to come.

"We were looking to punch hard colour wise on this one” David from DP Sign & Display told us, “I've known Katie for a very long time, we had to match her own energy and vibrancy with our graphics, and all parties were really impressed with the outcome”

Following last year's success, we returned to Royal Armouries to produce and install the graphic branding for this year's event. This time it was on behalf of Wellspring Academy Trust.

There was a large focus this year on cardboard-engineered graphics for sustainable, short-term use branding as well as various graphics produced from Easy Dot (our lowest tac, short term, self adhesive vinyl). We successfully completed a high end yet temporary look that was also kinder to the environment than delivered, in previous years.

DP Sign and Display designed the freestanding cardboard products with templates provided to the client, so that artwork could be safely placed without the need to trouble the client with how these would go together - we had already figured it out!

As is normal with events we had a very short window for installation. However, since this is the 12th private event at The Royal Armouries we have partnered on in the last 12 months alone, we have become experts at managing the workload in a short window.
