Meowser - at tribute to the best comrade and friend anyone could ever ask for.
Time has been so slippy and we didn’t really know she was gone till enough time had passed.
The past few times we saw her felt like goodbye.
She had got really skinny and uncharacteristically less hungry but she never lost her shouting spirit and turned up to work fighting everyday until the day she didn’t.
The last time I saw her we pressed our heads together and she gave me the deepest purrs and I think we both knew.
We are so grateful to her for all the years of delightful sweet company.
There is no one to sit in the boxes, stand on my head, steal my lunch, shout at bowls or lie in a perfect circle and to be honest it’s really rubbish.
Her little spirit lives on and we have honoured her in the only way we know how.
Rest In Power and piles of levers.
May you always have a full tummy and all the cuddles your heart desires.
We will never forget you.

OMG it’s here! The 2027 Footprint Co-operative Calendar is now officially available on our website šŸ—“ļø

We’ve maintained the A5 format and as always, it includes beautiful artwork submissions from our very generous contributors.

I’ve included examples by Rachel Holborow and Tanya Hardy and you can see more pages on the website. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our contributors with an extra special thanks Imran jogee for designing the cover art and our amazing new ā€˜peaceful riso’ and ā€˜eternal meowser’ logos.

This years theme is RESISTANCE IS FERTILE which you can read about it in more detail on our website.

Two lovely big rooms full of lovely people sharing art.
Some very cute table pairings that occurred as a result of leaving people to self organise.
As usual we (I) worry A LOT about EVERYTHING in the run up to organising an event and as usual we are rewarded with a big show of dead smart, creative and sweet people getting on with it with minimal fuss and maximum displays of problem solving, hard work and camaraderie. A beautiful working chaos.
We are very grateful to you all to be part of this community and hope to see you all again next year :)))

Badge Station is one of my favourite parts of Zine Fair.
Thanks to our pal L for (wo)manning it most of the day and to everyone who came and made a badge with us.
Here is a small selection of what was made due to BUSY.
Happy to see a strong and growing anti AI sentiment present throughout the community.

56. Sweet Apple Zines

We are a partnership (a writer & an illustrator) creating zines about q***rness, community, representation, and marginalised topics. Our latest big project is a 6-part collection about q***rness in nature.

57. Becky Kidner / Loosely Bound

Becky Kidner - Diary Drawings.Ā
I have been documenting every day in my ongoing body of work ā€˜Diary Drawings’ which started in Sept 2007, so coming up to 20 years! I have been making the Diary Drawings zines since around 2012, and will have published nearly 140 issues! I am also part of a Bradford based zine collective - ā€˜Loosely Bound’

Loosely Bound are a collective of artists and zine-makers who are loosely bound together by our connection to Bradford, and our love of zines. Our collective’s zines include ā€˜Postcards from Bradford’; and ā€˜The Week Before & After’. 58. Riddhi Tilokani

I’m a South Asian artist working across illustration, painting and printmaking. My practice explores cultural identity, nostalgia and everyday South Asian imagery, often drawing on personal memories and visual motifs from my heritage. I create small lino prints and illustrations inspired by South Asian symbols, objects and popular culture, bringing together traditional references with a contemporary, playful approach.

51. The Monsters & Madness Project

I am Fin Connor, and I made & run The Monsters & Madness Project. It’s all about journalling for mental health...but with monsters! It’s for anyone who already journals, anyone who might want to try, and anyone who thinks they’d never bother journalling too. My minizines are all perzines about mental health, unemployment, fighting ā€˜big-tech’, q***rness, and many other experiences.

52. Saffron Sunley

Hello! I study illustration in York and practice lino printmaking in my spare time, mostly based on plants and animals. I have some lino and illustrated zines but most of my work will be original prints. I’ve been experimenting with chine colle and combining watercolour with lino recently and would love the opportunity to show them off!

Saffron Sunley

53. Fiona Creates

I’m an illustrator and comics artist and writer, my zines are generally q***r focused, currently about asexuality, and then a romance book. I also have some larger press glossy art stuff and also hope to have a riso or two of my art sorted by the event date.

54. furtive shambles

we make spooky folky silly playable zines, and hand-cut our own storytelling card games like masochists

Furtive Shambles

55. Tanya Hardy / snowhitetan

I’m Tanya and I live in York where zinemaking and riso printing have both kind of saved me. I love cats, plants, drawing, collage, photography, stationery, tangents and making zines in a haphazard way that bear no relation to the zines I set out to make.

46. Sigar

Mostly a product of The Half-digested boy, with occasional zines from mates. Publications include ā€˜Guff’ an anthology of strange, bleak and funny little comics, Sketchbook work collections, new ongoing narrative comic ā€˜Villein’ which has been described best as like if Gary Panter did jabberwocky. Prints too, some poetry zines.

Sigar.

47. Emma Charleston

I make silly zines, mostly riso printed, about my life and things I am interested in (Periods! Crying! Hiking! James Bond for some reason! Much more!)

48. Bethan J

Since graduating from an Illustration degree four years ago, I’ve made good use of this time to make zines and comics about important issues, such as 80s music, Muppets movies, and people with fruits for heads... I also run my own zine club at Leftbank Leeds every first Wednesday of the month.

49. Adrien Bryter

I make zines delving deep into the aspects of pop culture no one bothered to think about including the psychology of Shrek, the geopolitics of The Princess Diaries, and the relationship between fascism and religion in the TRON series. Between those, I also have a trio of indie magazines called Muddled Magazine full of sarcasm, life pro tips that almost work, and making fun of Oasis.

50. Little Scorpion Press

Little Scorpion Press is a self-publishing printing press. It’s a space to play with, share and communicate ideas, feelings and acts of joy, critique, lamentations and refusal.

The main aim of Little Scorpion Press is to use the age-old art of p**s taking and subversion to critique and refuse the death grip of colonial, hetero-normative, patriarchal capitalism. The press is organised around DIY printing practices, sex-positivity, q***rness and anarchist principles, and is committed to existing predominantly offline in the form of printed and hand made artefacts. Little Scorpion Press is a space to celebrate and amplify anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, q***r visual and material cultures that both protect and refuse.
