Unfortunately, due to a small rise in burglaries in the area I am putting this post out to make sure you are all aware and make sure your security around your property is up to date. This has been in the Garforth and surrounding villages.
Over the las few weeks there has been a few burglaries that have mainly been aimed at high value/performance cars
We have increased our patrols and will continue to do so
If you have a keyless car then please put the keys in a security pouch, and also make sure you have decent locks and security around your house like CCTV or security lights etc. Vehicle wheel locks are great other devices for the car which make it harder for them to steal
This post isn’t to scare people, its just to say there has been a small increase in the area and to keep vigilant. We are investigating the crimes and have got some good CCTV images.
If you do see anything through the night that doesn’t look right then please call us immediately, or if your CCTV alerts you to anyone suspicious then please ring 999 straight away
