We are recruiting on behalf of a client in LS19 for a permanent Café Cook working independently in an established fresh food venue, with immediate start available!

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Café Cook to take solo responsibility for the delivery of a brunch and evening small plates menu from Thursday to Sunday (4 days/7)

This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident running a small kitchen independently, delivering consistent, fresh, premium café-style food, and working closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service across day and evening trading.

The successful candidate will utilise their skills and expertise to identify trends and introduce menu items that fit the brand image of the venue whilst balancing dishes against the stock holding capabilities of the venue as well as maintaining the established quality.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a chef in a café, bistro or small plates environment
- Confident working both brunch and evening services
- Organised, dependable and calm under pressure
- Passion for fresh, well-executed food
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergens – Level 2 Food Safety Minimum
- A positive, team-focused attitude

Hourly Paid at £15/h with a minimum contract of 35 hours, guaranteeing a salary of £27,300 PLUS tips with overtime available.

A proper easy gig for someone who likes a relaxed atmosphere and good honest food.

◽ Fri 14th Nov – Sun 16th Nov
◽ Tues 18th Nov – Fri 21st Nov
⏰ 8am–3pm each day (Sunday is 8am–2pm)

*What’s the job?*
You’ll be the solo chef during daytime service, cooking a straightforward café menu with fresh ingredients. No drama, just good grub for good people.

Pay
💷 £16.65 PAYE
💷 £18.00 UTR

Where?
A friendly and buzzing spot in a leafy Leeds suburb. Bar by night, cosy café by day. Great atmosphere and a supportive team.

We have an amazing opportunity at a Nursery in Wakefield!

In Wakefield, WF2, we have a client in need of an experienced chef for Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (minus 0.5 hours break)

£18 UTR
£16.65 PAYE

START DATE
Monday 17 November to Friday 21 November

This returning client has been a solid partner for us. We have been providing ongoing cover for the site since February and have a very strong bond with them!

The menu is already written and has been implemented by our Managing Director.

The client does NOT require a DBS certificate as the kitchen is separate from the nursery and food is served by the in house team.

The working day is as follows;
Lunch at 11:30
Light Snack at 14:00
Light Tea at 16:00

The business is located within a charity and there will be support from the cafe team for pot washing.

You will be inducted by MP38's Management Team, ensuring you know the site and the operations for the day ahead, with an in depth handover folder, a detailed site handbook and day plans for every day of the week.

This is a long standing client with an amazing relationship with MP38 and provides a chef with a great work life balance.
