We’re looking forward to this weeks annual BREEAM Awards after two of our projects were shortlisted in the Public Sector Project – Post Construction Award category.

The University of Birmingham’s impressive new School of Engineering Building completed in 2021 is part of the newly-created UK Railway Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) and includes a full-size set of railway points, the University’s own pantograph test rig and a test track for scaled hydrogen-powered trains.

Meanwhile the Oastler Building, University of Huddersfield houses the University’s Music, Humanities and Media departments in a truly diverse academic building of the future, which includes a full size mock court room and 300 seat lecture theatre.

The shortlisted projects, represent the highest examples of independently certified projects, which are excelling in every category of BREEAM. We have everything crossed for both projects..!!

We are delighted to announce that Building 17, Yevropeyskiy in the Western Siberian city of Tyumen, Russia has been awarded a BREEAM 2021 Award by the BRE at their annual awards ceremony under the 'Homes Design' category. This defining residential project is the first in Russia to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM accreditation.

Delighted to have coordinated and hosted an international delegation of Developers, Architects and Engineers from Forbes Top 5 ranked Russian residential developer Brusnika Design and Engineering who we are currently working with in Tyumen, Russia. Alongside attendance at Futurebuild, we arranged a strategic business development meeting with BREEAM at their global headquarters in Watford jointly attended by Guy Eames, Chair of the Russian Green Building Council. Thanks to James Fisher, Jennifer Dudley & James Honour of BREEAM for their tour of the Innovation Park and discussions on the huge potential the Russian sustainable and innovative construction market has to offer in response to the climate emergency both in the UK and Russia.

We're delighted to have been named as part of the Arup team to provide BREEAM and sustainability consultancy for the lucrative first phase High Speed 2 (High Speed Two Limited (HS2 Ltd)) Birmingham Interchange Station. It was an honour to be involved in two royal openings yesterday. HRH the Queen formally opened the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh unveiled the University of Hertfordshire’s New Science Building.
