Coming in September 2021, our coach education programme is aimed at competent football coaches who are looking to learn & develop their knowledge, professional skills and experience to be able to deliver age/stage appropriate coaching within youth football. Coaches enrolled on the programme le
arn under the guidance of our Technical Director Sam Holmshaw, an MSc student of Sports Coaching and experienced football coach. Over a 4 month period, coaches work through our coach curriculum on youth age-group football coaching online whilst holding a placement at one of The Academy venues with an age group of their choice, learning to put the theory into practice! Coach Scholarship Programme
Our coach scholarship programme for 14 – 18 years is aimed at older school & sixth-form/college children who are interested in a career in football coaching. Our Scholarship programme provides our coach scholars with an introduction to youth age-group football coaching. Coach Scholars will assist and work under our head coaches on one of our academy centres or our academy camps. In addition to learning key health & safety aspects to coaching such as conducting risk assessments, good practice on child/player supervision and pitch inspections.
