Today we attended a property where the customer reported a burning smell near the fuse board. After inspection, we found the meter tails had overheated and burnt out, posing a very real fire risk. Luckily, we were able to isolate the supply, replace the damaged tails and secure everything safely.

Today’s call-out was a serious one. The customer reported getting a shock when touching the kitchen tap — after testing, we found 120 volts present at the sink due to a faulty earth connection and a damaged appliance leaking current. This could have ended very badly if it wasn’t caught in time.
