Mobile response officer to work as part of a team covering Leicester and Leicestershire. Officer will carry out mobile patrols, respond to alarm activation's, carry out locks and unlocks, property inspections, and respond to multi occupancy buildings to assist tenants. Applicants must have a current full UK driving licence, hold a current S.I.A licence and have at least one years experience within the mobile response section. Applicants must be able to speak and write in clear English and be computer literate, have excellent people skills and be a good communicator. This role is nights only with a shift pattern of 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off. Overtime will be available if the applicant wants to work more hours. Any BH worked will be paid at double time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 58 per week

This week we were proud to support one of our customers commitment week. Please read the below post from The Arches Apartments General Manager Trudie Donoghue.

This week is Cortland's Commitment Week, a time when teams give back to local communities 👏

The team at The Arches Apartments, some of residents, our 3rd Party Contractors Gary Sheffield (GTS Security) and Sam Cooper (TSD cleaning) and a kind donation from Wincanton Britvic chose to help Rachel's Table a charity that helps the homeless in Leicester 🙂

We delivered food and met the founder Rachel and her family as they gave food out to the homeless, the gratitude from Rachel and people collecting food was overwhelming ❤

Please take a few moments to read below about Rachel's Table - how a family can make such a difference to people's lives - Well done Rachel and your family 😘

Rachel's Table started as a family who would buy a hot drink, food or stop for a chat with the homeless.
During lockdown when homeless charities who supplied much of their daily food closed, Rachel and her family realised the impact so prepared 6 bags of food and went into Leicester to find homeless people that needed support.
The 6 bags rapidly grew into feeding 40-50 people, 7 days a week.
In January 2021 a charity was formed and Rachel's Table was born.
The charity was named by the Morris family who saw feeding the homeless as an extension of their family dinner table growing up, always room for friends, family, people needing help - the room was always full of fun and laughter.
To date, Rachel's Table has provided 21,500 hot meals, over 30,600 picnic food bags, blankets, toiletries to the homeless and vulnerably housed people in Leicester.
After a video was shared on Facebook, churches and individuals right across Leicester and beyond joined the army of people wanting to help 👏

Vacancy

The responsibilities of the position are to learn all security roles which are currently Mobile response officer (need to hold a UK driving licence) Reception duties, banks man duties, some admin duties including key audits, office duties, installation of wireless alarms, and any other reasonable request by management. The successful candidate will be trained on all aspects of the jobs they need to learn. The shifts will be mainly nights however there will be some day work, split shifts and some weekends. The hours guaranteed are 48 per week however there maybe up to 60 if extra are wanted. There will be opportunities for the right candidate to progress if they so desire.

Any applicants must hold a current SIA licence, UK Driving Licence, and be able to speak and write clear English. Be willing to use technology and be computer literate. Have at least one years experience is essential although you will be trained on each assignment.

Salary: Up to £11.00 per hour

Being a small local business ourselves and having set up our business in February 2020 we know what it is like to struggle. The pandemic hit most business and for Local Charities it was no exception. So, when we got the opportunity to help the Bridge (East Midlands) it was very rewarding. The Bridge has been working for the community since 1993. The deliver several specialist housing related advise, support, and assistance services and accommodation options to the homeless and vulnerable housed people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Already supporting other charities like Loros and the Air Ambulance has given all at GTS Security great pleasure although not large amounts we believe every little helps and one never know when we might need help and support. In the case of the Bridge all we did was offer a little space for storage and some of the staff to work from when they were in the area after a friend had told us they were struggling. Little did we know at the time that this gesture would save them money, just over £4000 which I am sure will go a long way to help those in need. It was a very nice surprise when we recently received a letter thanking us for our help and a certificate of appreciation. The certificate will take pride in the officer’s mess here at our HQ at Anstey. There are many ways we can help others and it is so rewarding, so on behalf of all at GTS Security we would like to thank those who give their time to help run and raise money for charity without you I am not sure where we would be.
