Say hello to our newest FRESH member, Steve Harvey from Westerby Group!

Steve is Group Managing Director at Westerby Group, an independent financial services business specialising in areas including wealth management, retirement planning, tax planning and SIPP & SSAS pensions.
Steve joined Westerby in 2012 and has helped lead a team of around 100 professionals supporting thousands of clients across the UK.

With a strong focus on independence, integrity and service, Steve brings plenty of experience and knowledge to the FRESH community.

🌱 New connections, fresh ideas and an evening at DMU!

We're teaming up with De Montfort University for a special FRESH Green Networking event, bringing together local businesses, professionals, students and alumni for an evening of conversations, connections and fresh perspectives.

Taking place at DMU's SDG Hub during COP week, we'll hear from Mark Charlton, Chair of the SDG Hub, about the Hub's work and its role in sustainability, before opening up the room for relaxed networking.

It's a chance to meet people outside your usual circles, exchange ideas and explore how businesses, students and the next generation of talent can learn from one another.

Whether you're looking to grow your network, discover new opportunities or hear different perspectives on sustainability, come along and get involved!

Our October FRESH Live is getting a Halloween twist!

Join us on Thursday 29 October at Hotel Voco Leicester for an afternoon of relaxed business networking, a two-course lunch, drinks, business spotlights and, of course, the FRESH music quiz.

Fancy dress is encouraged, but definitely not essential. 👻

Whether you’re already part of the FRESH community or you’ve never been along before, it’s a great chance to meet some new people, catch up with familiar faces and enjoy a different kind of networking afternoon.

Say hello to our newest FRESH member, Mark Messina from Harborough Portas!

Mark is an independent commercial insurance broker with over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

He specialises in helping businesses with their commercial insurance needs, providing tailored, one-to-one advice across areas including property, hospitality, construction, landlords and the motor trade.

With experience as both a commercial broker and commercial underwriter, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to helping businesses understand their risks, find the right cover and make insurance a little less complicated.

We’re really pleased to have Mark join the FRESH community and look forward to getting to know him at our upcoming events.

What actually makes a good networking event?

For us, it’s pretty simple.

Good conversations.
Meeting different people.
Feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.
Finding people you genuinely want to stay in touch with.
And actually enjoying the time you spend there.

Because networking shouldn’t just be about collecting business cards or trying to speak to as many people as possible.

It’s about meeting the right people, having a decent conversation and seeing where it goes.

That’s what we try to create at FRESH.

Sarah from Foxy Promotions joined us at FRESH and had a brilliant time meeting new people, making some great connections and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

It’s always great hearing from people who have tried different networking events and really notice the difference at FRESH.

Meet the Member - Diviesh Morjaria | The IT Business

We’re really pleased to welcome Diviesh Morjaria to the FRESH community!

Diviesh is the Managing Director of The IT Business, providing fully managed IT support to SMEs across Leicestershire and the Midlands, from installations and network infrastructure through to ongoing support and project management.

With nearly 30 years of experience across software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, supplier management and more, Diviesh brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience to the businesses he works with.

We’re looking forward to getting to know Diviesh and having him as part of the FRESH community.
