I love this time of year, fresh start to the New Year.
A chance to get organised along with cosy warm evenings in front of the tv catching up on everything I missed during wedding season.

This time of year I’m speaking to a lot of new clients, catching up with existing clients, booking in & starting consultations on weekends, attending wedding fairs and generally prepping for the year ahead.
It’s also a great time to revisit all the wedding cake pics on my phone from last year.

This years 2024 Pantone colour trend is ‘Peach Fuzz’, a gentle, velvety, warm, soft peach.
Very different from last year’s bright pink/red shade - Viva Magenta.
It’s a warm cosy shade that falls in between pink & orange.

Fondant vs Buttercream
If your not too sure of the differences, here’s some facts to hopefully help you decide.

🩷Fondant is great for giving that sharp flawless finish to a cake. It’s great for adding texture,ruffles & intricate details. You can also paint on it and create something unique.

🩷Buttercream on the inside and outside in so many different flavours, smells divine and tastes delicious too. It’s very versatile, can be coloured, you can create designs using a palette knife and you can even create printed designs on the buttercream once set. I always use fresh flowers to make this style of cake come alive.
