Whether you skip the eating part of going to lunch or not, taking a break is key to a productive day.
If your employees work at least 6 hours a day they are entitled to an uninterrupted rest break of 20 minutes (different rules if under 18)
This is often unpaid and described as a lunch break, with some employers extending this to an hour. The contract of employment should specify this.
