These large, laser etched wooden panels are destined for Klattermusen, a chain of outdoor walking clothing shops located around Europe.

Specialist shopfitters Realm Projects, (based in Mansfield), asked us to laser engrave these large wooden panels as interior decoration and information boards for Klattermusen.

The design takes inspiration from mountain range topography, which we laser marked onto each of the composite Ash wooden panels.

There were 20 panels in all, standing up to 2 metres in height. A big job that took a lot of etching, and kept our large format laser cutters quite busy. We were really happy with how they turned out!

Not many people and businesses know that we can laser etch glass and mirror. so we thought we would share this engraved mirror job with you, custom made for Caws Bar based in Dundee, Scotland.

As part of the new refurbishment of this much loved pub, Etch and Cut were asked to design and engrave this lovely glass mirror section.

Using a reverse engraving technique, our CO2 laser removes the silvered backing on the mirror leaving a see through section that contrasts beautifully with the reflective areas when viewed from the front, (see the images above).

If you placed the mirror against a dark background, the text and artwork would also look dark, (which is what the mirror will look like in situ).

Not only did we set up the CAD artwork for this job, but we also sourced the mirrored glass section from one of our trusted suppliers, (toughened and bevelled with arissed edges).

We love engraving glass and mirror as the results always look fantastic.

We have just made these wonderful wedding table centres for one of our customers. Laser etched onto oak veneer MDF then laser cut, these free standing pieces of art correspond to the table name, (8 tables in total).

Of course our customer is an avid bird watcher, and the idea is definatley more interesting than simple table numbers! Sourcing the graphics was tricky, and especially creating suitable vector based files for our machines to understand.

However, the hardwork was worth it, and we think these table centres look fantastic.

We just wanted to share a couple of recent projects involving laser etching metal products, specifcally for branding purposes.
Fredericks of Todmorden, ( a new restaurant opening in, guess where), asked us to laser engrave brass finger plates for all the doors in their new restaurant. Our fibre laser makes light work of etching a permament black mark into these antique brass plates. Very stylish we think!

ARTCH Studios in Preston, ( a creative studio and event space), asked us to laser etch some promotional drinks cans for an upcoming event. These aluminium cans were lightly powder coated painted, which did not expect, (thinking that they were going to be bare aluminium).
We had to change approach on this project and use our CO2 laser engraver to remove the powder coated painted layer, exposing the bare aluminium underneath. The result is a great looking, yet subtle effect. Again very stylish and a great bit of merchandise for the company.

Finally Haute Dolci, (who run a chain of high class dessert restaurants around the UK), asked us to brand some of their stainless steel cake cutters, (specifically for their Matilda cakes).
Before being folded by the fabricators, we laser etched their logo into the stainless steel, leaving a permanent black mark.
When the Matilda cakes are being cut in front of the customer, they will see the branding which looks very professional.

Just completed these laser cut and laser etched, branded condiment holders and table number stands for the Llew Gwyn Pub in Conwy, (White Lion). This is a old pub that had closed down and been recently purchased and renovated by the local community.

A great idea that is becoming more and more popular, keeping a valuable community assett going even though pubs in general are struggling. .gwyn

We don't often etch wine bottles, but these have turned out very well. It's tricky setting everything up on our rotary laser, getting the image to wrap around the bottle but still look good.

Once we have the artwork right and all the power, speed and gap settings, we can just motor through volume jobs like these!

These self adhesive, labels are perfect for bars, restaurants and cafes. We can supply them in a variety of colours, sizes and to your requirements.

The ones in the picture were laser etched onto , which are hard wearing and perfect for many demanding environments.

We don't often get jobs in, but this one was a big one. Reverse onto a 1 meter section of toughened glass, this photograph of one of our customers sons turned out really well.

It took a little manipulation to get the contrast correct, and of course we then have to work with a negative. Your never too sure how they will turn out, however this example looks great and is due to installed into a dividing room frame in the family home.
