Well folks - yesterday the lid went on my Footage Fairy box and a removal truck took it away to a storage container. I'll TRY to spare you a long, emotional goodbye but I do want to send a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all your unwavering loyalty - fellow wedding suppliers, couples and supporters. It's been AWESOME. When I began, another videographer warned ' if you knew how many things could go wrong with wedding videos, you'd never start doing them.' After blood, sweat, tears, tantrums (and no sleep), I understand what he meant but without that naivety, LOOK at what I would have missed out on!! I actually think about my couples far more regularly than you would think and when I get a message from them or a baby pops up in their profile pic, it genuinely makes my day. This page will stay open so please feel free to msg me if you need anything. . . or just to say 'hi.' A special mention has to go to Alex, Billy, Shaun & Jim - 4 amazing characters who were taken too early but captured on video at their happiest. For those who have asked, I have no current plans to work with video again. Instead I will be concentrating on being a wife and mummy in Cyprus for the next 2 years. I may even learn to cook . . . well . . maaaaaaaybe. Stay safe and happy always ###

Hello All. As Footage Fairy is shortly coming to a close, my posts have been few and far between. However, I feel the need to share this post with you. Alex was the brother of one of my favourite brides. He had a terrific bond with not only his sister Rachel but with his brother in law Martin. Rachel and Martin have become firm friends on Facebook which has allowed me to follow their lives - lives which featured Alex consistently smiling and joking around. It was devastating to hear that Alex had died suddenly 7 weeks ago at the age of just 25. Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of an undiagnosed heart condition and since 1995, the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) have been working to raise awareness and to support those affected. Whilst Rachel is now helping to raise money for CRY https://www.justgiving.com/AlexBrown17/, I know she would be equally as happy if Alex's passing prompted further awareness and testing of this condition. Please take the time to visit CRY's website (they list dates/locations of screenings.) As a tribute to Alex and in line with Rachel's desire to celebrate Alex's life, here is a link to their wedding highlights. It was my great honour to have captured Alex on this amazingly happy day. Today we said goodbye and celebrated the life of the fabulous Jim. He was the first father of the bride that I ever filmed and his 'proud as punch' expression as he approached the church with Katie, is an image I have never forgotten :-) I know all funerals aim to be a celebration of life but this one really achieved that goal. I am honoured to have filmed Jim during one of the happiest days of his life. ###

I have just finished my latest montage for the gorgeous Hayley and Mark. It is just over 10 minutes and has taken 3 days. This screen shot shows just 8 minutes of the timeline! I am hoping this answers my hubby's question of 'why do montages take so long? Isn't it just a cut and paste job?' Hmmmmm. Still, I understand nothing about his job either so we'll just leave it at that and avoid a domestic ;-)

Hi All - I have a bittersweet announcement in that I have just taken my very last wedding booking! With the possibility of moving abroad next year, coupled with a desire to move into other, less time demanding areas of video, I have reached my small target of weddings for 2015. Whilst I remain fully committed to the weddings booked, I am excited to move into new areas - details of which will follow. I had to make the announcement because I know so many of you kindly recommend me for weddings and I don't want to waste anyone's time. For now however, it is business as usual . . .so I'd best get on with the editing! xx
