Back with a great , a modern copper alloy token advertising Bovril, dating between AD 1889 - 1890.

On one side it has the inscription "BOVRIL with circumferential inscription in two orders." [outer] 30 FARRINGDON ST 5 RUE DE PALESTRO / [inner] LONDON PARIS. On its other it has the inscription: BOVRIL with circumferential inscription. LE PLUS MERVEILLEUX ALIMENT DU SIECLE [The most wonderful food of the century].

once again, and we have a late medieval to early post medieval silver half groat of Henry VII (1485-1509) and Archbishop Morton dating to c. 1486-1504.

The surviving obverse reads: +hENRIC DI GRA REX AG[...]

Beat the rain, just, for the final day of the Highdown Big Dig with Worthing Museum, Worthing Archaeological Society and National Trust Archaeology. We have enjoyed their posts over the last couple of weeks so fantastic to finally visit with a brilliant site tour from James Sainsbury. Congratulations to all involved on a great project!
