Quick one for business owners and landlords…

A lot of people think once they’ve had a Legionella risk assessment done, that’s it sorted.

It isn’t.

You still need to make sure your water systems are being monitored, maintained and properly managed ongoing.

That means things like:

• Regular temperature checks
• Tank cleans
• Fixing any issues flagged in your report
• Keeping proper records

If it’s not being actively managed, it’s not compliant.

We’re seeing more and more people caught out on this, especially when inspections happen.

If you’re not 100% sure you’re covered, it’s worth checking before it becomes a problem.

Here’s the thing. Businesses don’t grow because of services alone. They grow because of people.

At LFS, we’re lucky to have some truly exceptional ones, and it feels right to take a moment to recognise them.

Our MD, Danielle Bayliss , is on the final two week countdown to her first HYROX event in Cardiff. That says everything about her mindset. Focused, disciplined, and always pushing herself beyond the expected. It’s the same energy she brings into the business every single day.

Demi Lovett has now started her maternity leave, and we are all counting down the days until we welcome another LFS baby. A really special moment for the team, and a reminder that behind every role here is a real life, a family, and something worth celebrating.

Kieran Lawrence , our Legionella Admin Supervisor, has been going above and beyond. The kind of consistency and ownership he brings does not go unnoticed. He sets the standard quietly, but powerfully.

Lorraine Blower in finance has stepped in and made a real impact in such a short space of time. From keeping everything organised to supporting the wider team, she has become a key part of the business far quicker than most. Reliable, proactive, and always one step ahead.

And then there’s Charlee Butler A.W.M.Soc and Holly-Anne Tiernan , who are quite simply smashing it. The results, the attitude, the drive. It speaks for itself.

The Problem Is Never the Wall

Walls and floors do not usually fail by themselves.
They fail where they have been breached.

Every modern building relies on service pe*******ons for power, data, ventilation, water and waste. But every pe*******on interrupts compartmentation.

That is where fire stopping matters.

Its purpose is not to patch over a gap. It is to restore the fire resisting performance that the pe*******on has compromised.

Selecting the correct fire stopping system is not about ease, habit or guesswork. It is a technical decision based on fire behaviour, material response and proven test evidence. Get it wrong, and the compartment may fail well before its rated resistance period.

Fire stopping is not filler.
It is performance protection.
