Our first fully funded PPA! 🙌

In the video, our Managing Director, Declan Adams discusses our recent Solar Power Purchase Agreement with The Education Impact Academy Trust.

We’re installing 5 Solar PV systems totalling 450kWp, all built using SolarEdge Technologies. ☀️

And the best part? The upfront cost to The Education Impact Trust = £0.

651 kWp > 537 MWh > £80,000 ☀️

Our installation at Walsall Academy is now complete! We delivered it across carefully planned phases to minimise disruption to day-to-day school life.

The project includes:

☀️ 651 kWp solar PV system
⚡ 537 MWh estimated annual generation
💷 £80,000 expected yearly savings

Alongside the solar PV roof installation, we’ve also installed a solar carport, making use of otherwise unused space to further increase the academy’s renewable energy generation.

The impact of this installation goes beyond reducing energy costs. Lower bills can help free up valuable budgets for pupils, while increased renewable energy generation supports the academy’s wider sustainability goals.

Great to see the impact our 69.1kWp solar PV system is having at Stourbridge Glass Museum, helping them save over £65,000 a year on their electricity costs while reducing their carbon emissions. 👏

The video also raises an important point about VAT on business electricity. Just as VAT was reduced to encourage homeowners to invest in renewable energy, extending similar support to businesses could accelerate the UK's transition to cleaner, more affordable energy.

For many organisations, the business case for solar is already compelling. Removing or reducing VAT on electricity for businesses would make that case even stronger, helping more organisations invest in their future while easing the pressure of rising energy costs.

Discover our latest solar installation phase at Madeley Academy ☀️

This phase delivered an additional 171.08kWp solar PV system, bringing the academy's total installed capacity to an impressive 570kWp.

The expanded system is expected to generate around 470MWh of clean electricity every year, helping the school save approximately £80,000 annually on energy costs.

With a further 11 schools scheduled for installation during the summer holidays, we're continuing to deliver renewable energy projects safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to day-to-day school life.

Projects like this don't just reduce carbon emissions, they free up valuable budgets that can be reinvested where they make the biggest difference: supporting education and improving outcomes for pupils.

A belated but very warm welcome to James Burdock, who joined Kembla back in March as our Junior Project Manager. 👏
