🏔️ A Rare Glimpse into the Legendary 1922 Everest Expedition

📸An extraordinary piece of mountaineering history is coming to auction.

🩺 Dr. Wakefield was far more than a doctor. A mountaineer, explorer and record-breaking fell walker, he served in the 🎖️ Second Boer War, worked in Labrador alongside Sir Wilfred Grenfell, was a Medical Officer during the First World War at a Casualty Clearing Station on the Somme, 🏔️ and played a vital role as part of the medical team on the 1922 Everest Expedition, reaching an incredible altitude of 23,000 feet.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire an original photographic record from one of the most significant expeditions in mountaineering history.

This important archive containing a vast number of letters, photographs, diaries, ephemera, relating to 1922 Everest Expedition, Second Boer War, WW1, Canada/Grenfell. Priced to sell, deserves to fetch thousands (and just might).
