In three monthsโ time, Iโll be running the London Marathon for Tommy's, raising money to help support families who have to endure the loss of a child.
One thing many people donโt realise is that in the UK, around 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss. Behind that number are parents facing memories they never get to make; a first smile, a first laugh, those tiny first steps at home, or walking them into school on their very first day.
A nursery never slept in.
A little person youโll never get to meet.
These are things nobody should have to face.
Tommyโs supports families through pregnancy and funds vital research to reduce the risk of loss, so fewer people have to experience that heartbreak in the future. Itโs a cause that genuinely matters to me, which is why Iโm taking this on.
Training is underway, and it wonโt be easy, but every mile is for the memories that never got the chance to happen.
If youโre able to support or donate over the coming months, Iโd be incredibly grateful.๐
