If you don't like paying a callout fee for a qualified engineer to come and repair your appliance, then I can probably get you this guys number.

Instead of fixing the problem, he just disconnected the elements and advised the customer to use the other oven on her range AND it only cost a few quid. Result?

Now needing both ovens working for Xmas, the customer is out more money getting the job done properly.

With over 20 years experience, I'm still learning and also making mistakes so for someone to go on a 2 week course and then proceed to enter homes as a qualified engineer is IMO mental.

With the warm weather forecast for the end of the week, heres a few tips on keeping your fridgefreezer working properly.

1.Maintain Proper Air Circulation
Don't overpack: Leave space between items for cold air to circulate.

Clean condenser coils: Dust and debris on the coils can hinder heat expulsion.

Ensure ventilation: Allow for airflow around the fridge and avoid placing it near heat-generating appliances.

2. Keep it Clean:
Clean inside and out: Regularly clean the fridge, including the condenser coils and vents.

Remove expired food: A cluttered fridge works harder to maintain temperature.

3. Check Door Seals:
Inspect for damage: Ensure the door seals are intact and create a tight closure.

Replace worn seals: Damaged seals allow warm air to enter, forcing the fridge to work harder.

4. Temperature and Location:
Maintain correct temperature: Ensure the fridge is set to the recommended temperature (ideally between 3°C and 5°C or 37°F and 41°F).

Avoid direct sunlight: Place the fridge away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

5. Other Tips:
Minimize door openings: Open the fridge only when necessary and for short periods.
