Our network manager Laura Mallaburn was in London today keeping up to date with the continually changing regulations involved in investing.

She joined other angel groups, investors and venture capitalists at the UK Business Angels Association's technical seminar at The Shard.

The session unpacked key legal, tax, and regulatory implications following the recent Budget, so we're all ready to navigate what’s next for early-stage investing.

We had a cracking final pitch event of 2025 with three companies hoping to get investment from our panel of friendly Lincolnshire Business Angels!

A sports brand, a tech product developer and an agritech company pitched to our Angels, who were impressed by all three.

As the year draws to a close, we give huge thanks to our Angel investors and the start-ups who pitch to them. We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store!

An excellent day at the Momentum Valley Investment for Growth Summit at the East Midlands Conference Centre attended by more than 200 people yesterday.

A panel debating 'Female Founders and Investment Vision for Future Growth' included our Network Manager Laura Mallaburn.

Hosted by British Business Bank's UK Network Manager Vicky Mears, Laura and her fellow panellists Roxanne Goodman 🔑💷 Vicky Whiter and Stephen Welton CBE, answered questions on decreasing the gap between investment into female founders compared to their male counterparts, the positive impact of female-founded business on the UK economy and how these businesses can access finance more easily.

We welcomed three companies eager for investment to our first pitch event of 2025.

The theme was Software as a Service but aligned to very different sectors - from the world of sport to food supply chains and outsourcing management. Our panel of were impressed with both the quality and innovation of the propositions.

We’re geared up for an exciting 2025, as our network of Angel investors continues to grow and diversify. Welcome to our new investors and thank you to those who continue to bring their wealth of expertise to our events.

What an amazing variety of companies pitched to our panel of Lincolnshire Business Angels!
We had a drinks brand, a biotech company and a software developer hoping to secure funding and our Angels were impressed by all three.
As the year draws to a close, we give huge thanks to our Angel investors who have been a brilliant support this year and continue to take our network from strength to strength. We can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring!
