A great couple of days up in Scotland installing a base for a new turbine for SD Wind Energy. This will be the first turbine to go up on National Trust grounds so finger crossed more will follow suit

Bit of a trip out yesterday to London to service another new turbine on our books.
Service history on this turbine was vague so expected the worst but on the whole was a very tidy machine just needing a grease and slight adjustments on wiring placement to prevent any further chafing on the brake cable.
Advisories have been made for the next service in 12 months time.

New turbine on our books serviced today, as you can see the yaw rollers had perished and disintegrated and had started to wear through the bolt too! The bottom panels had blown off and were broken so a new set were supplied and fitted

Another 4 machines serviced around the Norfolk and Suffolk area, 3 of the 4 were very simple and quick services.
One machine had pulled its break on, worn the brake pads out and snapped the brake cable. Not a difficult fix but definitely a fiddly job.

Day 2 in Norfolk, another 2 machines serviced. Both machines just required a simple service.
We changed the brake pads on one of the machines because they had started showing signs of deterioration and changed the brake cable as it also was starting the wear through.

2 turbines serviced today in Norfolk. First job of the day wasn’t as expected, as you can see in the pictures the magnets had started to break down but luckily as it was caught in early stages and no damage was caused. So it will be stripped down and sent for repairs.
Second job was just a basic service.
2 more booked in for tomorrow on the way home

Another straight forward service today at Tuxford. This machine is serviced regularly and a had spring repair kit and pitch kit last year so just a visual inspection and grease up this time
