If you’ve got a free evening tomorrow, there's a special concert by the Lincoln Cathedral Lay Vicars at St John the Baptist Church, High Toynton in aid of phase 2 of their project - the interior refurbishment of the church.

Expect an evening of beautiful early music, including works that haven't been heard for 400 years.

The concert starts at 7pm and tickets (£15) are available on the door.

Beautiful voices, beautiful music and a beautiful setting – the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Site visits in Hundleby and Old Bolingbroke today for Hannah, Dale and Kate… and, as always, very serious business is underway 🍰☕

After all, thorough heritage work requires careful inspection of not just buildings and environments, but also the quality of sandwiches, tea and cake along the way. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!

We were delighted to attend the Advent service at St John the Baptist Church, High Toynton today — a truly special occasion marking the first service in five years, following the collapse of the tower in 2020.

As the afternoon unfolded, the fog lifted to reveal a beautiful golden light, which felt like a hopeful and symbolic moment for such an important milestone in the church’s journey. It was very moving to see the building once again filled with people, reflection and celebration.

We were especially pleased to see the new interpretation boards, which IPC had the pleasure of designing, installed in the church today. Being part of a project that helps share the story, heritage and resilience of St John the Baptist has been a privilege.

We have been delighted to work with the High Toynton community throughout this project and to support the church as it looks towards a new chapter. Thank you for such a memorable and uplifting afternoon. ✨
