🎻 GET YOUR DANCING SHOES READY – WE’RE HAVING A CEILIDH! 🎻

We’re delighted to be putting on a very special fundraising ceilidh in support of our friends at Lincoln Community Grocery and the fantastic work they do helping local people and families.

Join us on Saturday 14 November at Lincoln Labour Club & Institute Ltd, Grafton House, 32 Newland, Lincoln, from 7.30pm–10.30pm for an evening of brilliant live music, dancing, laughter and general merriment!

Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children under 16.

Providing the music will be the fabulous Higgledy Piggledy - Ceilidh Band and very special guests Winter Wilson.

Whether you’re an experienced ceilidh dancer or haven’t the faintest idea what you’re doing, it really doesn’t matter – that’s half the fun!

Lincoln Community Grocery does an amazing job supporting people in our city, helping members to stretch their budgets further while also providing practical support, courses and a welcoming community. The musicians, the venue and team IPC are all giving their time and services completely free of charge, which means every penny raised from ticket sales will go directly to Lincoln Community Grocery. ❤️

🎉 A fantastic milestone for Hannah! 🎉

Hannah has been part of the IPC team for 18 months, and today she’s passed the £1 million mark in successful grant applications!

That represents a huge amount of work behind the scenes - researching opportunities, developing projects, preparing applications and helping our clients make the strongest possible case for investment in their heritage.

Most importantly, that £1 million means historic buildings can be repaired, places brought back into use, activities delivered and communities supported.

A very well-deserved achievement - congratulations Hannah! 🥳👏

Sound the horn and lock up the valuables - the Vikings are here!

St Peter’s Horningsea lies close to the River Cam, a route used by Viking raiders advancing inland from the east coast. In the late ninth century, the settlement was plundered and the church is said to have been burned during the raids that brought violence and upheaval to the region.

This weekend St Peter’s has been invaded once again, though on more friendly terms than before!

IPC was there to witness the re-enactment, talk to visitors, and gather information to inform their evaluation of this amazing project, which received a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

On behalf of East Lindsey District Council, IPC is reviewing the following conservation areas and we need your input:

Binbrook, Burgh le Marsh, Hundleby, Louth, North Thoresby, Old Bolingbroke, Raithby, Revesby, South Willingham, Tattershall, Thimbleby, Woodhall Spa, Wragby and Manby (proposed).

We’d love you to join us at one of our drop-in sessions to view maps and photographs, speak to our team of heritage specialists, and help us better understand what makes these places special.
We are particularly keen to hear your views on:

🏡 The character of the conservation area
🕰️ Important heritage assets and features
⚠️ Any issues, concerns or opportunities
❤️ How the area contributes to local identity and sense of place.
Whether you are a resident, visitor, property owner or simply interested in local heritage, all thoughts are welcome.

🏃‍♀️ Hannah’s Half Marathon Mighty Hike! ⛰️

Our keen runner Hannah swapped heritage projects for Peak District hills to complete the Macmillan Half Marathon Mighty Hike!

She covered 13.1 hot and hilly miles in an impressive four and a half hours, alongside her friend Soph, who works for the National Lottery Heritage Fund, making it a very heritage-sponsored adventure!

Hannah raised a fantastic £320 for Macmillan Cancer Support, beating her £250 target. A brilliant achievement—well done, Hannah! 👏

🐾 Meet IPC’s Paw-some Assistants! 🐾

We love welcoming our four-legged friends to work! Zip and Ellie recently joined us in the office, offering plenty of enthusiasm, excellent company and some very thorough window-based supervision.

Meanwhile, Lottie is helping Hannah today. As Hannah says, she is “a dog, not a mop - though it’s easy to get confused!” 🐶

Bobby has decided that working on a Friday isn’t for him—but he still didn’t want to miss out on the team photo!
