When we mention neck pain, unhelpful beliefs associated with the neck being an extremely delicate structure and its association with the spinal cord means we can become prettied worried when we start to have neck pain. 1.Should I use Heat or cold?
Research shows there is no evidence that cold or heat is more beneficial.

2.Have I slipped a disc?
Contrary to belief, discs do not slip. Discs can protrude and “bulge” but they do not slip! Discs are made of a rough outer layer and a softer Centre. GOOD NEWS - Typically the bulge will become re-absorbed and our symptoms will improve. Over 90% of bulging discs will get better with time, rest and alone.
3.Do I need a new chair for work?

If you don’t feel your pillow is comfy then absolutely! There is no ideal pillow for your neck pain. If you are suffering with acute neck pain, thinking about positioning your pillows so your head is in a fairly neutral position may help. Comfort and supportiveness in your pillow is key.
5.Do I have bad posture?
What is “bad” posture? If we sit up extremely straight for a prolonged period we are going to get pain, likewise, if we are a couch potato and slouching all day we are going to get issues. There is no real best posture apart from regularly moving between positions. “Our next posture is our best posture”.
