Well, that was worth venturing out of LN6 for!
On Friday afternoon the LN6 Network headed across the road into LN5 for a behind-the-scenes visit to the ProAmpac Stadium, hosted by Lincoln City Foundation.
We started with a tour of the stadium, taking in everything from the changing rooms and pitchside to some fantastic views across the ground (and of course Lincoln Cathedral), before heading back to the Foundation for lunch, networking and a fascinating insight into the work happening beyond the football.
Martin Hickerton, CEO of Lincoln City Foundation, explained how the Foundation harnesses the hook of football to reach people and work in and with communities across Lincoln.
And the scale of that work is impressive.
The Foundation has delivered 23 individual projects, with more than 9,000 participants and 172,000 programme engagements, supporting people ranging in age from 3 to 92.
From health, fitness and wellbeing programmes to education, English language classes, community groups and events, there was one message that came through particularly strongly: everyone is welcome. Diversity and inclusion sit at the heart of what the Foundation does.
A huge thank you to Martin and everyone at Lincoln City Foundation for welcoming the LN6 Network, showing us around and sharing the impact of their work with us.
And, of course, thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon. We hope you enjoyed our little excursion into LN5 as much as we did!
