Seeing the kit up close beats a spec sheet. 🚐☀️

Thank you to Fáilte Solar for dropping by the NerG office to take us through the latest battery storage and hybrid inverter technology.

A poultry farmer spent an afternoon checking our solar proposal with ChatGPT. It came back matching ours exactly.

Robert Borrill of A M Borrill & Son can't set his own prices, so the brief was simple: cut energy costs and bring down standing charges.

The answer was a 116.25 kWp array with a 51 kWh battery, designed around timber-frame sheds and installed inside a ten-day biosecurity window between flocks.

Robert's verdict: "It's a no brainer really."

When the numbers are right, they hold up wherever you check them.

Our team on site, installing a roof-mount solar and battery system for A M Borrill & Son, a working poultry farm in Lincolnshire.

The system is designed around the site's actual electricity profile, using half-hourly meter data and the farm's own usage patterns. Timber-frame shed roofs called for a bespoke panel layout, and the install ran within a tight window dictated by the farm's biosecurity schedule between flocks.

Nearly 20 years of solar installs, and it still comes down to this - our own team, on the roof, doing the job properly.

No handing off to someone else once it's up. We design, install and service every system ourselves - so when you call NerG, you're talking to the people who actually know your system.

That's the bit we're proud of. 🔧☀️

Keeping solar PV systems performing at their best - our team and our robotic cleaner, out on a commercial rooftop. 🧽☀️

Professional cleaning, servicing and monitoring for commercial and agricultural solar PV systems - because a system that isn't clean isn't generating what it should be.

If it's been a while since your panels had a proper look, get in touch and we'll take it from here.

🔥When the test fire looks this good, you know you’ve done a good job. Nice one, Steve.

Back at Blankney Estates.

Today, our team has been carrying out a robotic clean of the rooftop solar PV system at Temple Grange.

Installed by NerG in 2025, the system comprises 1,868 solar panels across the roof of the Estate’s grass drier building.

The project was designed to:

☀️ Reduce reliance on grid electricity
☀️ Improve energy self-sufficiency
☀️ Support Blankney’s carbon-reduction plans

Installing the system was only the beginning. Ongoing cleaning and maintenance help support the long-term care of the Estate’s renewable energy investment.

Installed by NerG. Maintained by NerG.

Thank you to Blankney Estates and to our team for sharing today’s footage from site.
