Today I experienced yet another moment of magic ✨ and gratitude 🙏🏼 for the amazing people I meet along my journey, who I get to serve and who share their kindness with me…

The lovely Serena Choo (her pen name) stopped me as we were about to start a class, and told me that she wrote a book about Imposter Syndrome 📕

… and then she said…

‘I wrote about you in it…something you said about how we are in yoga poses… that just because you can’t do a pose, doesn’t make you less of a person… ‘

First I feel so blessed to know that the impact I have matters, and leaves a lasting impression, and of course I’m reading the book already… 📖

But there’s even more, it was the reminder I needed right now…

We aren’t all meant to be good at everything… when we begin, we are meant to be beginners…
and if we wait until we are fully ready, we will never start!

They say the yoga mat is a life sized mirror, well Baron Baptiste has certainly written and said it many times… and it’s true…

Our practice is a reflection of our lives… what we think about ourselves on the mat is what we think about ourselves off it…and that becomes reality!

This came at a perfect time, when I’ve spoken about self-worth and personal value and Unique Super Power (my take on USP) at least 7 times this week, and when a pivot in my life has me asking questions ⁉️

The friction between self worth and imposter syndrome is real… Steven Bartlett recently said he looks for it, if he doesn’t feel like an imposter then he’s not ‘in growth’ (I paraphrase, please correct me if I’m missing the point…)

So if you’re not sure who you are today 🤔

Happy Monday 💛

It is officially the first Monday of 2023!

Instead of hitting you with all of the "hustle & grind" you are seeing on Social Media, we want to remind you to ensure you still take time for YOU.

Don't run yourself down by the end of next week because you've gone in too hard, too fast.

We are so glad to see you are all super motivated for all you are setting out to achieve this year.

Just be sure to add in self-care time and personal development time to your weekly structure!

Here's to an incredibly successful, mindful and fulfilling year for us all.

Working from home over the festive season? 🤔

Don't worry, I am not here to tell you off - we appreciate prioritising work just as much as personal & team development.⁠

However, learning to set boundaries is super important.

Here are a few tips you should implement straight away:

📈 Set your working times - this will prevent itching into your well needed down time with your loved ones.

📈 Set boundaries - do not over stretch or undervalue your time.

📈 Take breaks - even at home, it is important you take breaks where required.

What standard are you setting? 📈

Here are the questions you should be asking yourself and your team when reviewing leadership within the business.

Being open to honest feedback from the team is the best way to improve as a leader.

Now is as good a time as any to set yourself to be an even greater leader next year!
