The cost of doing business right now is making it incredibly difficult for independent retailers to keep their doors open. It’s a reality facing so many of our local businesses.

Our city and town centres need a rethink and repurpose. The traditional retail model has changed with the impact of digital as well as other changes. High Streets can be so much more than shops... community hubs, gathering places, creative spaces.

We need to support local businesses by shopping local and in person. Vote for independent retailers who bring unique value in the High Street Heroes Awards (see to vote) Everyone has a role to play, from politicians to the public.

Let’s stop looking back and look forward. Start making a positive difference today.

Our end of summer netwalk at the Lagan Valley towpath and finishing at Navigation House (Stepping Stones NI) was a great way to start the day.

Great conversations with great company and great coffee by MINTY COFFEE DOCK too!

We’re delighted to welcome Little Heroes NI as a new member of our Chamber!

Based at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, Little Heroes is a charity dedicated to the vital work of fundraising and investing in life-saving equipment, essential family supports, enhanced facilities, new services and essential paediatric research - all aimed to help improve the care, comfort and experience of young patients and their families.

Yesterday, Lisburn Chamber Committee Member Melanie Coey had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Mary from the Little Heroes team at the Royal. It was a fantastic visit - meeting them and learning more about the incredible work they do.
