This Christmas, we were proud to give back to causes that mean a lot to our team. Instead of gifts, the GUK Magnetics team chose to donate to charity this season, with every employee donation also matched by the company.

Together, we supported:

Foodstock Charity
Friends of the Cancer Centre
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
Action for Children

We also took part in Dunelm’s “Delivering Joy” campaign, where we made up gift bags and fulfilled six tags from the Christmas tree, helping to bring a little extra joy to families this festive period. 🎄

We are proud to announce a major milestone in our company’s journey: Goudsmit Magnetics UK is now GUK Magnetics.

We are pleased to announce that Goudsmit Magnetics UK has successfully completed a Management Buyout, with existing Managing Director Catherine Robinson now becoming the majority shareholder of the company.

The MBO agreement has been structured to transfer full ownership of the company, including its subsidiary businesses, from the Goudsmit Magnetics Groep BV to GUK Magnetics Holdings Ltd.

This change has been carefully planned and is credit to the hard work, dedication and support of the GUK team. It also ensures the continuation of leadership and supports the company’s long-term business strategy.

GUK Magnetics Ltd would like to acknowledge and thank the previous owners, Johan Goudsmit and the Goudsmit Magnetics Groep BV. We look forward to future collaborations between both companies and wish the Groep every success.

As we look forward to the next chapter, and to working closely with our staff, supply chain partners and clients to build on our shared success and ensure a strong and prosperous future, our focus remains clear:

Important Update: Impact of China's Restrictions on Rare Earth Metal Exports:

As of April 4th, the Chinese government has implemented new restrictions on the export of rare earth metals in response to U.S tariffs. These restrictions are expected to create delays in both production and international shipping.

Our priority is minimising disruption for our customers. We're actively coordinating with suppliers, logistics teams, and authorities to manage these changes effectively.
