🪵🔥 Weekend well spent!

No work for the business today — just a bit of graft at home with the family.

Me, my wife Lisa Bevan and james have been busy getting the logs cut and split, ready to keep us going through the winter. 💪

There’s been plenty of sweat, a fair bit of noise and a lot of logs moved 😂 but it’s great having us all out there getting stuck in together.

It might be hard work now, but I’m sure we’ll appreciate it when we’re sat in front of the fire on a cold winter evening. 🔥

A little personal post… ❤️

As many of you know, I lost my sister a few weeks ago. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for me and my family, so I had to take some time away.

To all of my customers who have been patient, checked in on me, and shown understanding – thank you. It has meant more than you know.

I’m now back and working my way through everyone’s gardens as quickly as I can. If I’m running a little behind, please know I’m doing my very best to catch up.

I kindly ask for a little more patience and understanding over the next couple of weeks. Life comes before lawns sometimes, and I know my sister would want me to keep going.

🌿✨ I often get asked what my own garden looks like and what I grow at home, so here’s a little glimpse into one small part of it. 😊

This is just a peaceful corner of the garden, filled with lots of really old tree ferns 🌿🌿🌿, creating a lush, prehistoric feel beneath their towering fronds. A gentle water feature 💧 and plenty of wildlife 🐦🦋 complete the scene, all enjoying the space alongside us.

You may also notice that even landscape gardeners need somewhere to hide from the never-ending list of garden jobs! 😄 This little corner is my excuse for “quality control,” which mostly involves sitting quietly, listening to the water feature, and pretending I’m hard at work. 🌿☕

You may also spot a nuc hive in the video 🐝. It’s from a split of one of our larger hives that I carried out last week, and it’s great to see the bees settling into their holiday home before they move into a new, larger hive of their own. 🍯🏡

For me, good landscaping isn’t just about how a garden looks—it’s about creating spaces that feel calm, natural, and full of life. 🌱✨

This job was definitely not your average garden makeover… 😅🏴‍☠️

We turned a tired pond area (and a very established w**d situation 🌱😂) into a full pirate-themed adventure space ⚓️

Out went the old stone and small pond…
In came a completely reworked layout with a larger custom-shaped deck designed to bring the whole “pirate ship” feel to life.

We also installed a full new pump, filter, and UV system 💦
All hidden away properly — so the garden looks clean and finished, while the water stays crystal clear behind the scenes.

The shark head is now fully operational as a water feature 🦈💦
Penguins upgraded to VIP whisky barrel status 🐧🛢️
and the whole space now feels like a mini adventure park 🌊

But the real entertainment? The “site inspectors” we had watching over us 🐘🦓🦖🦁🐊🐒🦒
Let’s just say productivity was… heavily monitored… and mostly judged 😄

Honestly one of the most fun transformations we’ve done.

The .spa out for another tidy up 🌱

This one had got a bit out of hand, but nothing it couldn’t sort—back to a nice, clean lawn again 👌

We just go steady with it, make sure it’s cut properly and everything’s left looking right. Keeping the kit well maintained helps it do exactly what it’s meant to 🔧
