Not a bad view from up here ☀️

We’ve recently wrapped up this commercial install for Cuff Millers in Littlehampton, and the drone footage gives you a pretty good idea of the scale of it.

⚡ 93.28 kWp solar PV system
☀️ 176 LONGi 530W panels
🔌 3 Fox ESS three-phase commercial inverters
🌱 Estimated to generate 91,975 kWh in its first year

That’s a lot of previously unused roof space now doing something pretty useful.

We’re doing more and more commercial and community solar projects across Sussex, helping businesses make better use of the space they already have and reduce how much energy they need to pull from the grid.

And for organisations where the upfront cost is the sticking point, we can also explore funded and PPA options.

Got a big roof and wondering what it could do? Give us a shout. We’re always happy to take an initial look.

The install is only the start. ✨

This review came from a customer whose solar system we installed more than five years ago, and it’s a lovely reminder that looking after our customers long-term matters as much as doing a great job on day one.

When they experienced some equipment issues further down the line, we were still there to help get things sorted.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for trusting us with your system all these years later. It really does mean a lot to our team. 👏🏼

Do I need to replace my roof before getting solar panels? 🤔

Not necessarily! 👉🏼

If your roof is in good condition and has plenty of life left in it, there’s usually no reason to replace it just because you’re having solar installed.

If there are signs the roof may need significant work in the near future, though, it can make sense to sort that first. You can remove and reinstall panels later, but ideally you’d rather not have to! 😅

We’ll assess the roof as part of planning your installation and flag anything you should consider before work begins.

Another roof put to work ☀️

A nice, clean solar install from the CC Solar team. And yes, we do appreciate a neatly lined-up set of panels 😅

Solar doesn’t need acres of roof space to make sense. We’ll look at your space, energy use, and what you’re hoping to get from your system, then recommend an installation that works for your home.

Not every roof makes it easy for us 😅

With different roof sections, angles, and limited space to work around, this one needed a bit more thought to make the most of the usable roof area.

The end result? A really neat solar installation that works with the property's shape rather than against it.

SOLAR MYTH: If it’s cloudy, your panels aren’t doing anything.

Thankfully, solar panels are a little less dramatic about British weather than the rest of us. They use light to generate electricity, so they can still produce energy on overcast days. Output will generally be lower than on a bright, clear day, but cloudy definitely doesn’t mean useless. Handy, considering where we live. ☁️☀️

☀️ Commercial Solar in Littlehampton – another CC Solar project completed

Take a look at the drone footage from our recent solar installation for Cuff Millers in Littlehampton.

⚡ 93.28 kWp Solar PV
☀️ 176 × LONGi 530W solar panels
🔌 3 × Fox ESS three-phase commercial inverters
🌱 Estimated generation: 91,975 kWh in the first year

It's a great example of how a large commercial roof can be turned into an energy-generating asset.

CC Solar is a family-run Littlehampton business established in 2010, providing solar PV and battery storage for homes, businesses and community organisations across Sussex.

We're also expanding our work with commercial and community solar projects, including exploring funded and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) options for organisations that may not want to fund the installation upfront.

Got a commercial or community building with a large roof? We'd be happy to take an initial look at its solar potential.

We know. West Sussex isn’t exactly the Costa del Sol. Fortunately, your solar panels haven’t been told. Solar PV works using daylight, meaning our very British mix of glorious sunshine, grey skies, and “was rain actually forecast today?” can still produce electricity year-round. No Mediterranean climate required. 👏🏼

Already have solar but no battery? It could be worth another look.

Battery storage can give you much more control over the electricity your panels generate, letting you keep more of it for the times you actually need it. Depending on your setup and tariff, batteries can do more than store spare solar. If your panels have been happily doing their thing for a few years, we can help you look at what adding storage could do. 🔋
