๐Ÿš€ Another Local Installation Completed!

This week we had the pleasure of setting up two brandโ€‘new PCs for Nicholas Plant Hireโ€”one for their main office and another for home use. Both systems came fully equipped with 22" monitors and powerโ€‘protection equipment to keep everything running smoothly.

We took care of:

๐Ÿ’พ Full data migration from the old office PC
๐Ÿ“ง Converting and uploading legacy Thunderbird MBOX emails to their online mail system
๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Reinstalling Tacho software
๐ŸŽฅ Restoring CCTV access with new software and provider coordination
๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Moving and reinstalling two printers (including print server setup)
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Installing BitDefender Endpoint Security on both PCs

Weโ€™ll also be continuing to support the team with adhoc remote assistance whenever needed.

We have been super busy with various IT and Telecom installs of late.

One particular IT call out was to diagnose a UniFi network which had failed. We quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced, reprogrammed, updated all devices and got the client back up and running. We now support the client by remotely monitoring and updating their systems.

We are aware of a DNS issue affecting broadband customers. This is being worked on and we will provide further updates.

Update โ€“ 15:50

We are now seeing load over DNS servers to be stable
Please retest your service

Update โ€“ 14:50

A power outage at Manchester Serverbank DC has been confirmed as the root cause of the current issues.
Power has been restored and currently remains stable.
Residual issues with services running through Serverbank are being experienced, predominantly DNS.
DNS servers are seeing a high impact.
Engineers are currently still working through the DNS issues.
Workarounds are being explored to alleviate the impact.

Last week we installed new IT hardware at Chanctonbury Game.

We supplied and installed new HP machines to replace their dated PC's. We handled both setup and migration at two locations in a single day.

New Broadband and Phone services have been installed at Merry Meats this past week.

We planned and carried out their Digital Switch over, all whilst saving them money due to the multiple lines and services they had. We condensed this all down into a simple single line solution, with ruggedised handsets and a single router!

During planning we also noted their old alarm system wasn't compatible with new digital line services, so we brought in a local security specialist (Toby) who installed a new 4G alarm system for them!

We have been busy!

Over the past few weeks we have been helping lots of our clients with various IT and Telecoms services.

In particular, we helped our client Point Two Equine relocate their offices from West Sussex to Surrey.

We planned and moved their IT and Telecoms services, which saved money by switching the telecoms over to SBS. We installed both the new broadband service and phones, as well as porting the numbers and setting up their phone system.

We also carried out some IT maintenance, upgrading their PC's from Windows 10 to 11 ahead of Windows 10's retirement date October 2025.
