Yesterday saw the final workshop in a series I’ve been delivering at , covering all aspects of how to set up a creative product or service-led business. It’s been a pleasure to work with Sarah, and to meet lovely groups of students with enthusiasm and great questions.

I’ve been pretty quiet on social media recently, but have been busy behind the scenes; I’ll be back with some online workshops soon 😄

Yesterday I delivered the first of three workshops at ; talking to Creative Arts & Fashion students about how they might start setting up their own creative businesses. It was a really well attended session, both in-person and with a live stream online too (although I didn’t get any photos once things were underway 🤦🏻‍♀️). Lovely to meet some talented students afterwards, with some great enthusiasm and ideas for their products and services 😁

We had a lovely morning Masterclass yesterday, with these three fab shop owners. We looked at the most up-to-date Etsy guidance, and put some plans in place to try out new approaches to listing on Etsy. Can’t wait to see how these guys all get on!

Really excited to be starting a new series of workshops in a local college this year, helping art students on their first steps in a career selling their products or services 😁

I’m writing a load of content at the moment; and really enjoying it. Sometimes you forget how much you’ve learnt until you start writing it all down 💻

So here’s the first session of 2024; a Masterclass. This is a live, interactive session and will not be recorded.

Got some ace stats back from the guys at .cic, based on feedback from attendees at the sessions I ran there recently. So pleased to have been able to work on this project, and to help so many small businesses make the important first steps to trading online and in-person!

Last night’s “Introduction to Selling Online” session was really lovely. Three creatives, all new to selling online… my main advice is to stop putting it off and make a start; you can refine it all as you go along!

Today saw the final session in this series of Creative Enterprise Workshops at Make.. It’s been a brilliant project to be involved in, and I’m really excited for all the makers and artists I’ve met - hoping that these sessions are the springboard they all need to make the next steps to develop their creative businesses.

I’ve just sorted out an “Introduction to Selling Handmade Products Online” session for next month. I’m running the same workshop as an in-person session for Make. next week, but there’s been a huge demand - so hopefully if you don’t get a spot on the in-person session you can make this online one. I’ve kept the cost down to £5, to make it as affordable as possible.

Etsy Sellers - check your email for details if a new programme from Etsy - “Etsy Share & Save”. It’s a great way to reduce your Etsy fees if you’re doing lots of promo work driving customers to your shopfront, and it’s really easy to implement!

You’re sending people there anyway, so you may as well get the reward for it!

This morning I held an Etsy Masterclass for this lovely bunch. We looked at everyone’s shopfronts and suggested some tweaks and improvements for everyone. Really nice group; good luck everyone- hope it all goes well!
