1. The Row is over 700 years old, making it one of the oldest shopping centres in the world
2. The Roodee (Chester Racecourse) is the oldest racecourse still in operation in the UK
3. Chester’s famous city walls, first built in the 10th century, form a nearly two-mile circuit that’s still walkable today.

With Roman roots, historic architecture, and so much still standing today, it’s a city where history is part of everyday life.
