Today I took a 10+ hour, one way flight from the UK to Mexico.
And while that is super exciting, it wasn't the most exciting thing to happen.
Because as I waited in the crowded airport lounge, sipping on a hot chocolate, I was struck by how completely different my life is now to just a few years ago.
And not just my life - but ME. How I show up, how I feel, how I respond.
Airports used to be places where I would desperately try to find a plug and working wifi - and a gallon of coffee - so I could attempt to reduce my ever growing list of to-dos before being "trapped" on a plane where I wouldn't be able to answer emails, messages or calls.
I remember actually feeling relief at delays because it meant I had an extra 40 mins of internet to get more done or download things to work on during the flight.
But today?
I was able to sit, taking in my surroundings.
I didn't even consider getting my laptop out.
I opted for a delicious black forest hot chocolate because I didn't need caffeine to keep me awake so I could "use the time efficiently".
I didn't freak out about being disconnected for most of the day.
And THAT is what I'm talking about when I talk about freedom. Not the fact that I'm headed to a boujee hotel for the evening by the beach or that I'll be in Cancun, Mexico City, Austin and Tulum over the next month (although of course I love that too ๐โโ๏ธ).
But the freedom I have to just be.
The trust I have in myself to figure anything out.
The systems that support me.
The structures and agreements I have in my business to allow me to switch off.
The boundaries I maintain.
The ways I look after myself and my nervous system.
Even the freedom to make a mistake or miss something - where there used to be so much fear of being "found out" that I didn't have it all together.
And that's the work I do in my coaching. Tools for you, tools for your business, nervous system regulation, reflections, support, accountability and so much more.
I have two spots open for 1:1 coaching and I can't wait to see who's going to fill them and shift things for themselves this year!
