As the darker nights roll in and we're busy pressure canning, its been wonderful to reflect on the things we no longer buy as our sustainable homestead provides for us ❤️ -

* Eggs 🥚
* Meat 🍖
* Vegetables 🥦
* Herbs 🌿
* Fruits 🍏 🍐 🫐
* Fruit juices 🥛
* Honey 🍯
* Flavoured alcohol 🍸
* Fire wood
* Compost

Probably so much more that I can't think of as it's just part of our off grid everyday life ❤️

Feeling very blessed and very thankful that we decided to sell our house and buy a field ❤️

Simplicity is beautiful 👌

First batch of elderflower cordial done today 👌 sitting for 24 hours before straining.

Can't wait to try it 👌

Lots of fruit drinks to make this year, red/black currant, apples, pears, blackberries, strawberries... and of course Sloe's for gin 😋

Hopeful to eliminate the need to buy in any fruit cordials 🤞🤞 another goal on our self sufficient journey 😀
