See I was listening, every time someone said they were too expensive, while acknowledging the amount of work they entailed. Hopefully this version has the charm and appeal of it's big brother. Idk! I'll be taking the first ones to the Herts County Show next weekend, wish me luck??

Brilliant show at RHS Hyde Hall (with Woodland Crafts) to klck off the year. Recovering from that is going to keep me busy for a while!

Its a bit of a departure from my usual, functional work - but I've made something that's...well, a bit different! Its something I've been meaning to try and make for ages, but wasn't sure I could - not in leather anyway, but, I think its worked! I've made some little dragons. Unsurprisingly each one takes a couple of days to make, over 80 different stages and a lot of different techniques - hope you like them? So I've spent a numbr of days on a new design, teeny tiny little cases for guitar picks made from 0.8mm sheepskin, rather pleased with them. While listing them on Etsy, got an order for the heaviest weight things I make, bell muffles. Yup, literally, muffles for church bells, almost 8mm of solid leather. Sometimes forget how varied leather work is...!

So nearly a year of full or partial lockdown - no Craft Shows, exhibitions etc, on top of everything else that is on hold. Working from home is...different, unfortunatly I now have NO excuse for putting off taking photos and updating listings on Etsy (shame, its tedious). This morning got around to adding some different colours/leathers for tool holsters and drawstring pouches. Would like to think of some new lines but I'm lacking inspiration - any bright ideas appreciated?!?

Feeling lucky that I don't (wholly) rely on Art and Craft shows because....there aren't any! In common with the rest of the event industry most craftworkers are in limbo (to put it politely). Fortunatly my Etsy sales and direct commissions have been enough to keep me going - just! I've recently finished a new batch of needle books in satin black, gnarley brown and dark green, they'll be going onto my Etsy site today. That's enough work for today, think I'll spend the rest of the day preparing sloe gin......!

Haven't done any work for over a week (not counting sending off orders and starting on commissions for next year, obv). ...

Haven't done any work for over a week (not counting sending off orders and starting on commissions for next year, obv). Thanks to everyone for their support and involvement ths year, looking forward to 2020 - hats off to the youngest member of our family for his input this Christmas, Happy New Year everyone!
