what do you admire most in a business? Loyalty, price, look, feel, something else?

This weekend I went to the and it was fantastic, it always is was but it was the last one 😔

Well in its current format, because well …this is where they were really honest, it just isn’t profitable for them and barely breaking even. So what now?
They are changing the format, whilst still sticking to their values.

So many lessons in this for us all
* don’t be afraid to be honest with your clients, if they get your business and hold the same values they will understand and appreciate the openness.

* don’t be afraid of testing/learning/trying we don’t all get it right first time

* don’t shy away from ‘failure’ because often it isn’t that at all it’s your biggest lesson which often leads to your biggest success

It was such a welcoming space and you instantly knew you were in a chatsworth eatery, that’s when you know the branding and identity is just right, it had layers! The food was fantastic also with my friend loving her breakfast choice.

Happy Friday peeps…Lets talk cereals…The staple of many a breakfast table and infact since the pandemic they have cermented there place even more people buying them than ever before USA saw a 38% increase in purchases (Source mintel) I mean have any of you ever been to a USA cereal aisle the choice is incredible. Here in the UK we also big fans of this breakfast staple. With health as you possibly would imagine being a big trend. In fact the top 3 trends are Natural, High fibre and high protien.

We haven’t done one of these in a while but here’s a for you…managed a whole night away for some r&r recently and went up to Harrogate- stayed (if you haven’t been it’s one for your list, the spa is lovely and the staff too)

Anyway as is custom when out and about we happened upon as you can see from the box it did not disappoint, chocolates were delish 😋 🍫 so give them a follow or a visit …I’m sure they would welcome you - after all Yorkshire is very friendly!

Summer solstice, otherwise known as the longest day of the year, falls today, June 21 - meaning longer evenings

Evenings out in pub gardens, long walks and well just in general more vitamin d for us all at total of 16 hours 43 mins of daylight

It also means traditionally enjoying sumptuous feasts, lighting bonfires, singing and dancing to traditional songs, and reconnecting with nature

We’re going to use it reconnect and reset.

This is what Ice cream parlours up and down the country are are going to look like by the end of the day today after this mini heatwave!

Did you know that one half of Sparke clubs job use to be developing an ice cream range for a famous chocolate shop? Sadly no longer around but it was pretty fantastic stuff….and she went far and wide developing and perfecting the recipe.

What do you think the most popular flavours were?…vanilla - hands down, followed by strawberry, chocolate and mint! Did you guess them?

How about you? What’s your go to? Ice cream, 99 with a flake and sauce?, retro lemonade lolly? 🍦 🍭 🍨

We haven’t done one of these for a little while so here’s a fab little for you we stopped by in the way back from as our good friend reminded us the other day about the ice cream 🍦

Now we’re big fans of round sparke club HQ and this did not disappoint

Also couldn’t help but pick up a bottle of fresh milk, jam and butter from their honesty shop. Had the milk (which just look happens to have won ) this morning on some cornflakes - 😋

So if your heading that way take a detour or just go and soak up the amazing scenery up there and a enjoy an ice cream whilst you do it!

How delicious do these clementines look? 🍊 🍊🍊
What’s interesting about these is that the leaves are on and they are in a little wooden basket.
They were a small premium to other clementines.
But honestly sometimes it’s all about the details and it’s what makes a simple product more appealing, perhaps also sometimes be an impulse buy or just generally be the reason someone buys your product over another.

So even if you have an ‘everyday’ product, think about those additional levers to pull.

Gorgeous s'mores hot chocolate to accompany afternoon tea with my lovely mum in Allestree, Derbyshire.

Everything was so delicious and the ambience is just lovely. We'll worth a visit if you're in the area.
