Why do so many technical SEO audits never translate into real business impact?

The challenge is rarely identifying issues.

The challenge is always prioritization.

We’re excited to share that our Founder & CEO, Anna Moragli, has been featured on the Sitebulb blog, where she explores one of the most common problems facing ecommerce SEO teams: turning technical SEO audits into actionable roadmaps that actually get implemented.

In the article, she breaks down:
âś… A practical framework for prioritizing technical SEO issues across SEO, development, and business teams
âś… How to assess opportunities based on impact, effort, and business value
âś… Why many audit recommendations fail to get implemented - and how to avoid that

Showing examples from large ecommerce projects across multiple markets, the article provides a practical approach to making technical SEO a driver of growth rather than a backlog of unresolved issues.

Many thanks to Jo Furnival and the Sitebulb team for the opportunity and collaboration.

Not every keyword and every page deserves attention in an ecommerce store.

And not every opportunity deserves effort.

Before prioritizing keywords, we ask:
- Does this support revenue right now?
- Does it align with what the business wants to push?
- Is this the highest-impact move we can make?

That’s how you avoid:
Doing more, but growing slower.

Focus on the few things that actually move the business.

That’s what this checklist is built for.

Most ecommerce brands start as Andy when it comes to their SEO strategy:

👉 posting blog posts
👉 chasing trends
👉 doing more SEO tasks
.but still not seeing solid revenue from the organic channel.

The brands that win think more like Miranda:
👉 focused
👉 selective
👉 revenue-driven

And every team has a Nigel quietly carrying the strategy.

After spending 2 days at the Conference this year, we came back full of ideas, inspiration, and plenty of things to test and explore next.

Diving deep into where search, AI, and SEO are actually heading.

Beyond the talks, it was great reconnecting with Terry Kyle and Stevy Liakopoulou and meeting so many talented SEO professionals we hadn’t seen for a long time - thank you for all the meaningful conversations and coffee breaks.

Big congratulations again to the organizers of Athens SEO Conference Eva Mermingi, Francesca Kavvadia and Andreas Georgatsos for putting together such a high-level event and creating a space for meaningful conversations around the future of search, technical SEO and AI Search.

The outcome is clear:
The future of search is evolving fast - more semantic, more AI-driven, and more interconnected than ever- and conferences like this make it clear how important it is to keep learning, testing, and adapting.

Till next time 🥂

Ecommerce SEO industry has an information problem.

There’s too much advice.

Too many “hacks”.

Too many strategies that sound good.. but don’t actually grow the business.

That’s how brands end up:
👉 busy
👉 overwhelmed
👉 growing visibility but not revenue

Eurovision 2026 is giving us:
✨ drama
✨ chaos
✨ iconic performances
.and honestly?
A lot of ecommerce SEO strategies feel exactly the same.

Some are loud.
Some are messy.
Some look impressive but completely fall apart behind the scenes.

The ones that actually win?

👉 Structured
👉 Intentional
👉 Built to perform

Most ecommerce brands fail with their SEO, not because is “too competitive”

It’s because they treat SEO like a marketing channel…
instead of a revenue system.

What we usually see:
❌ SEO is disconnected from product strategy
❌ Category pages aren’t built for search discovery
❌ Collections are created for search engines, not actual demand
❌ No alignment between keywords and inventory

So what happens?

They rank for product pages they don’t really care to sell
and ignore the pages that actually make money.

And then they say:
“SEO doesn’t work for us”

The reality?

SEO only works when it’s tied to:
âś… products with highest margins
âś… how people search to discover brands and buy
âś… how your site converts

Otherwise, it’s just traffic with no direction.

Everyone is talking about Met Gala for fashion.

Well, Met Gala isn’t just fashion.
It’s a $30M case study in positioning, attention and branding.

Nothing on that carpet is random.

Every look is designed to attract attention.
SEO works the same way.

The brands that win aren’t the loudest.
They’re intentional.

Attention isn’t luck.
It’s built.

Most SEO reports look impressive.

👍 Impressions are up
👍 Traffic is growing
👍 Rankings are improving

And yet...
Revenue stays the same.

That’s the part no one wants to talk about.

Because it exposes the real issue:

SEO that looks good but it isn’t built to sell

If your report doesn’t clearly answer:
“Where is the revenue coming from?”

SEO...it’s not a strategy.
It’s just an activity.

That’s the difference between:
doing SEO vs building a revenue channel
