Last week I delivered the Build A Business You Love course (yes, in this heat!). āļø
The attendees arrived ready, eager to learn, with eyes up, pens in hand, laptops open, and empty workbooks ready to be filled with practical insights.
We kicked off with our Mindset module, setting the foundation for resilience, confidence, and growth.
Strategy was woven throughout every moduleāfrom building strong business foundations to creating a business that can scale and eventually be sold, rather than simply becoming a hobby. It's something many business owners haven't considered.
We explored online business, email marketing, and network marketing, discussing how each can support sustainable business growth.
One of the biggest conversations of the day was AI.
While AI is a powerful tool, we also discussed how overusing it can reduce creativity and dilute the unique personality of a business. Generic, computer-generated content is becoming increasingly recognisable, and with that comes a loss of trust.
One attendee from HR also shared concerns about AI providing incorrect informationāa timely reminder that technology should support our thinking, not replace it.
Throughout the day we worked on SMART goals, primary and secondary messaging, and used the Eisenhower Model to identify procrastination and improve productivity.
