Taxi Group Ltd. Launches to Drive UK-Wide Taxi Expansion
Sheffield Taxi Group and Bradford Taxi Group companies unite under a central group to modernise operations, expand nationally, and enhance passenger services.
Sheffield and Bradford Taxi Groups, key players in Northern England’s transport sector, have announced the formation of a joint umbrella company named Taxi Group Ltd. This newly formalised corporate structure is expected to enhance operational transparency and support long-term national expansion within the UK taxi industry. By centralising oversight and establishing local subsidiaries, the group aims to streamline its services while maintaining a strong regional presence.
The subsidiaries now operating under Taxi Group Ltd. Include three entities from each city: Sheffield Taxi Limited, Sheffield Taxis Group Limited, and Sheffield Cab Group Limited, as well as Bradford Taxi Limited, Bradford Taxis Group Limited, and Bradford Cabs Limited. These companies form a cohesive network designed to serve local passengers more effectively while sharing central resources and strategies.
Aiming to replicate this regional model nationwide, Taxi Group Ltd. Is leveraging a hybrid approach: decentralised, community-focused service delivery paired with centralised back-office support. These include departments handling compliance, driver recruitment, and technology upgrades. This approach mirrors trends across the UK’s transport sector, where operators are seeking scale while preserving quality of service.
