India Business Group (IBG) is proud to continue its strategic partnership with QS, supporting the fourth UK–India Higher Education Roundtable at the House of Lords earlier this week.

Our Chairman, Lord Patel of Bradford OBE, co-hosted the impactful discussion with QS CEO, Jessica Turner, with IBG’s CEO, Amarjit Singh participating alongside university and sector leaders from both countries.

Under the theme “Scaling Together: UK–India Higher Education in the FTA Era”, discussions focused on joint research, student and academic mobility, transnational education and stronger university–industry collaboration, with practical steps to help successful partnerships grow.

Against the backdrop of the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), IBG sees education, innovation and skills as central to translating bilateral ambition into shared prosperity.

Enjoyed meeting with H.E. Mr Kumaran Periasamy, the High Commissioner of India to the UK, alongside India Business Group (IBG) Chairman, Lord Patel of Bradford OBE at India House.

We had a wide-ranging and positive discussion on opportunities to further strengthen the - , including , , and . We also explored the potential of the landmark UK-India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement ( ) to create new opportunities for businesses and organisations on both sides.

A particular focus was on how we can support to access supply-chain opportunities, strengthen , encourage , and build more resilient, mutually beneficial commercial links between the UK and India.

The UK-India relationship has enormous potential, and continued engagement between government, industry and education will be vital to turning ambition into meaningful outcomes.

🇬🇧🇮🇳 Strengthening UK–India Education & Enterprise Ties

India Business Group (IBG) is delighted to once again be supporting the India–UK Business School Dialogue, with the second edition formally commencing today in New Delhi.

Running from 14–16 September 2026, the Dialogue brings together senior business school leaders, academics, policymakers and industry experts from India and the UK to strengthen collaboration across higher education, innovation and skills.

With more than 35 UK business schools participating, the programme provides a timely platform to advance meaningful UK–India partnerships and collaboration.

As India’s higher education and skills ecosystem continues to grow, closer institutional collaboration will be vital to developing globally relevant talent, supporting innovation and strengthening links between universities, employers and policymakers.

As a supporting partner, IBG is proud to contribute to the Dialogue, connecting stakeholders and helping turn conversations into practical, long-term partnerships between Indian and UK institutions.

Our CEO participated in the inaugural Independence Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the recently established Consulate General of India in , marking India’s 80th year of independence 🇮🇳

Enjoyed meeting and engaging with the Consul General of India, Ambassador Dr. Srinivasa, alongside fellow officials, colleagues, friends and members of the wider Indian community.

It was an auspicious and memorable occasion to reflect on India’s democratic values, vibrant traditions, arts and music, rich cultural heritage, and the enduring spirit of unity that connects the Indian diaspora worldwide.
