What is Tempeh.... Tempeh or tempe is a traditional Javanese food made from fermented soybeans. It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans into a cake form. A fungus, Rhizopus oligosporus or Rhizopus oryzae, is used in the fermentation process and is also known as tempeh starter

Our tempeh is blast-chilled from 30°C to -5°C in just 30 minutes before being frozen at -25°C to lock in its freshness and quality.

Frozen fresh tempeh is now available to purchase from our website. It's always fresh, convenient to store, and easy to portion whenever you need it! 😊

Kicking off the new year with exciting news 🎉
ProTempeh UK is now officially SALSA certified!
This is a major milestone for us since moving into our factory in 2023.

What started as an empty barn in the middle of beautiful farmland is now a fully SALSA-certified food production facility.

ProTempeh UK is among the very few tempeh factories in the UK producing fresh organic tempeh, and this certification reflects our commitment to high standards of food safety and quality.

A big thank you to our team whose hard work made this possible! We’re looking forward to what’s ahead!
