What can I fill my skip with ?
If you’re hiring a skip for the first time, you may be wondering what you can out in it…
It’s one of the most common questions that we get asked when taking an order.
Knowing the answer can save you time, money and hassle when your waste is collected.
What CAN you put in your skip.
We accept most non-hazardous household, garden and building waste. These include:
🏠 Household: furniture , flooring, packaging, non-electrical items
🪴 Garden: soil, leaves, grass, branches and hedge cuttings
🧱 Building materials: bricks, concrete, rubble and tiles
🧻 Recyclables: cardboard, paper and most plastics
What CANT you put in your skip.
Some material can’t be placed into a standard skip due to safety, legal or environmental restrictions. These include:
🎨 Paint, oils, solvents and chemicals
⛽️ Gas bottles, pressurised containers
⚡️ TVs, fridges, freezers and electricals
🛞 Tyres, batteries or liquids
😷 Asbestos or medical waste
🍔 Food waste or perishable items
🛋️ Upholstered furniture containing POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants)
*Some of the above items can be accepted with prior arrangement and additional charges*
