This week SmartSec Solutions underwent our audit for our Approved Contractor Scheme membership with the Security Industry Authority.

We are delighted that we passed with flying colours with no improvement notices. Our score has gone up by 10 points from our previous assessment.

Our score from our audit means we continue to maintain our Pacesetters status with the SIA. The Pacesetters membership is made up of Contract Security Guarding Companies in the top 15% benchmarking and achievement levels set by the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme.
This great achievement is down to the hard work of our colleagues and especially Dele Ogunlaru, who has coordinated our company’s activities to accomplish this.
We are now accredited to the newly applied British Standard - BS 10800:2020. This new standard sits at the top of the national security services standards hierarchy and contains all the recommendations required for the provision of any security service.
This great achievement is down to the hard work of our colleagues and especially Dele Ogunlaru who has coordinated our company’s activities to accomplish this.

We’re devastated to hear that thousands of British Airways cabin crew are to be made redundant (https://www.ft.com/content/46aab9ad-8429-436e-937d-2f6cfbed7b51). We appreciate this must be an incredibly tough time for them – and the wider airline industry. BA cabin crew are known for their outstanding levels of customer service – they are the true leaders in delivering the guest experience. As trailblazers in delivering high standards of front-of-house service to our corporate and residential clients, we’re always looking for new people to work for us. If you’re a former BA cabin crew, and interested in flexible work in standard business hours (Mon- Fri approx. Only, 8am-6pm) in the city of London and West End, then do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you. [email protected]

This article hits the nail on the head. Cities are the heart that keep the economy beating. We are seeing first-hand that whilst things are starting to slowly re-open across London, the level of footfall within our buildings and the surrounding areas is frighteningly low because people are nervous to use public services. And you can understand that. This isn’t helped by the roll out of new congestion charges in London, which is now 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. Previously key workers were able to drive into work and park up at their convenience, and this was particularly useful for our night security officers. Now they fall into that congestion charge and as a result they are inevitably going to take the tube, which no one wants at this particular time. The performance of our cities has a direct impact on local economies throughout the UK. They include the absolute pinnacles when it comes to corporations and culture. We must not take them nor their role for granted. We need them back.

Last Friday the prime minister changed the “stay at home” advice of the past four months and called on workers to return to the daily commute, if it is safe to do so.There are understandable anxieties
