Our dear friend , this BBC spotlight on you and your brilliant work as an African Heritage Tour guide at Tate Modern, focusing on African Modernism and African Surrealism, is truly remarkable.

I ( ) will borrow from a comment that was shared with me in summarising the deep emotions and pride which reflect the profound and transformative impact of your work, "the Ancestors are proud of you". My dear friend Nadia, you are a great inspiration. Thank you! πŸ™πŸΎβ€οΈ

It is absolutely clear that your intention to demystify what "African Art" is in "non-African" spaces benignly disrupts to create opportunities that not only reclaims origin but also celebrates knowing, appreciation and invitation to discover artwork, artist and context.

From our Founder and Director, , "My heart aches learning of your death my dearest mentor Carmen de Lavallade, icon of the stage, screen and performance art. But oh how tremendously grateful I am for the love, wisdom and compassion you selflessly imparted in me".

Our dearest Carmen earned her wings on December 29th. Her extraordinary, timeless legacy, pioneering boldness, enduring artistry, and effervescent grace will forever illuminate our footprints, dance steps, and presence, carving spaces and public expressions that defy limitations on creativity, racial equity and social inclusion.

Carmen de Lavallade, forever love and forever cherish! πŸ™πŸΎβ€οΈπŸ•Š

This evening we went to see what was all the hype around . Wow!!! πŸ”₯🌟πŸ”₯🌟πŸ”₯

The Nutcracker Noir is a must have experience. It was Nutcracker meets the Wiz meets Kinky Boots meets Moulin Rouge!. We can't forget a crucial element, the perfectly choreographed dining experience which is hands down the most delicious, eclectic menu. Never once is there a clash between enjoying the production and the undeniably tasty food (the menu is the last slide.

Every single element of this experience is meticulously thought through, from the drinks and nibbles on arrival, the tantalising preshow tasters in the welcome rooms to the invitation into the most beautifully, lush, chandelier accentuated performance dining hall.

There are many takeaways including that the queerness of individuality is celebrated not polarised, loved not ostracised, honourable not weaponised, community not division.

Nutcracker Noir is now running at,

Protein Studios - Shortditch,
31 New Inn Yard
London EC2A 3EY

Shoreditch High Street Station (6 minute walk)
Liverpool Street Station (12 minute walk)
Old Street Station (10 minute walk)

It ends on 21st December. Get your tickets at,

Over the last 8 months our Founder and Managing Director had the great honour of producing the UK wide programme of the British Council's , UK/Kenya Season, delivered in the UK through .

Lives impacted, new pathways for collaboration, celebration of cross-cultural exchange, regard for heritage preservation and ownership, amplification of creative excellence, deeper respect for creative contribution to transformational dialogue and securing access for early career starters.

I learnt a lot and gave a lot and I feel deeply happy with the output and the return. I am ready to do it all again. Whether it's art, music, fashion, food, film, literature, new media & digitisation, respect for identity and legacy, civic pride or Cultural Ambassadors, access and financing, local or global value chain, intellectual property or reclaiming, every area, idea and perspective was/has been covered.

One of my proudest and most fulfilling journeys this year and I would do it all again. Huge thanks to The Africa and the British Council.

We are so looking forward to the 12th November for the artist talk with the phenomenonal moderated by our and brough to you by The event is part of Camden Council's Black History Month Season.

The conversation gets candid as we join Mrs Allyson Ingrid Williams MBE on this emotionally charged and deeply inspiring unpacking of her memoir, TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW - A life of Love, Passion, Purpose and Success.

A living legend for more reasons than one including her outstanding contributions to women's health and empowerment in her highly successful career as a midwife and lecturer. She was a critical support for the establishment of Europe's and the UK's largest carnival and the UK's premier Caribbean carnival for which she remains an executive board member.

There are so many in-awe moments in this book: the grave sadness of her racist experiences in the UK hits you heavily in your chest and you are in absolute glee with her in her many triumphs and achievements. You want to be part of her beautiful home life.

Her resilience, beauty, wisdom, grace, and genteel nature will captivate you.

You do not want to miss this riveting in-conversation with Mrs Williams. Head over to .camden bio to register for FREE.
