Most business launch with growth as their goal. But I'm doing things differently...

Since life opened up, it's been harder to balance full-time work, with friends & family, & starting a small business! I quickly realised that I couldn't have it all, & I had to make some tough choices.

I love being a lawyer, and it's not something I'm ready to give up. So I decided not to let my small business consume me. I made a choice to take it in my stride and (unlike my day job), not to burn myself out in the process. I needed Kymani to contrast my working life in every single way. So my goal isn't rapid growth. My goal is to showcase my passion through small batch, limited edition collections. To show you my journey, and to grow in a way that sustainable for me!

E X P L O R E.

2020 was going to be my year to explore... but covid had other plans. Instead of moping around I started making candles as an escape from life as a corporate lawyer! I naively thought it would be a little hobby to fill my spare time, as simple as mixing together some ingredients and sticking a wick in... I was so wrong! Creating the 'perfect' candle very quickly became an obsession - I was literally dreaming about them, & I quickly fell in love with the process.

Experimenting with scents brought back memories of travelling and was quite literally a portal to explore, from the comfort of my own home. 18 months on, & i'm finally ready to share my journey with you!

The makings of a perfect Saturday Morning!

For what feels like forever, I have been working hard to bring you a range of unique candles that I'm proud to finally share. I've taken stock of lots of deliveries this week and it's like a dream watching 18months of hard work & commitment come together.

Building a small business requires a lot of hard work and commitment, & it isn't always easy. It's too easy to become consumed by your business and forget to take a break.. & I'm guilty! So tonight, I'm taking a well deserved night off and heading to then enjoying a night in with friends! 🤍

I A M O B S E S S E D . . .

For as long as i can remember, I've been obsessed with interior design and styling, & no room is complete without lighting a candle! A year ago, during lockdown, I decided to turn this obsession into a hobby, and I haven't looked back.

Candle making is not just an art, it's a science. I know my fellow makers will agree! Candles are a result of research, endless testing, continued investment and A LOT of patience. My first collection took over 8 months in the test phase alone, experimenting with 4 different wax blends, before I signed off on a formula that fills the room, burns evenly, and safely. It's a strive for perfection, and I refuse to settle for less.

I've spent the past 18 months researching and investing my all into my products and making sure they are perfect. I'm so excited to introduce the collections officially and I hope you all love them as much as I do!
